How it Works
The Fatsoff Soup Scoup is a straight-sided ladle with the bottom
of the cup being an inverted funnel.
As the Fatsoff Soup Scoup is pushed down into the soup:
1.
The thin layer of floating fat is trapped in the large open bottom
end of the inverted funnel.
2. As the funnel moves lower, the thin layer of fat is forced through
the funnel and it is concentrated into an area more than 50 times
smaller.
3. The thick layer of fat collects at the top of the funnel completely
separated from the broth below.
4. The separated fat spills into the cup through the small opening
in the top end of the funnel.
Repeat as necessary on other areas of the surface and your job
is done in seconds.
The screen of the Fatsoff Soup Scoup pushes floating vegetables,
etc. out of the fat layer and allows clean separation of the fat
from floating matter.
